Flood Victims – Neelum District
Neelum District is one of the disaster-prone areas where the risk of damage remains high, especially due to snowfall in the winter season. The devastating flood of 2010, which affected many parts of Kashmir and Pakistan, caused particularly severe destruction in the Neelum Valley. As a result of this natural disaster, countless people were left homeless, and due to road blockages, the supply of food and other essential items became nearly impossible.
During these difficult times, Barkati Foundation Karachi, Pakistan, stepped forward with a spirit of humanitarian service and played an important role. Food supplies and other necessities were arranged for the affected people, and the responsibility for their distribution was entrusted to Hazrat Allama Sahib.
He established a ration camp at the Itimad Markaz, from where essential goods were systemically delivered to the homes of affected individuals in areas ranging from Dhakki Chhikanar to Chilahana. This service was not only an effective emergency response but also left a lasting impression of compassion and welfare in the hearts of the people.
